Full Version: Montana Bob Makes the News!
Arizona Outback's Prospecting Forum > Arizona Outback's Main Forum > AZO's: Gold Prospecting Forum
Chris Gholson
Hi All,

For those living here in Arizona you might have spotted a familiar face on the television earlier this week. A newscrew from Phoenix wanted to run a story on gold prospecting and they definitely hooked up with the right guy for an interview. The film crew drove up to Yarnell and got some great footage of Montana Bob in action near Rich Hill. I believe the piece was originally aired on KTAR, and can now be viewed on YouTube. Below is the link. Be sure to check it out. Great job Bob! laugh.gif

Very nice and professional you guys! It got me itching to get back out.

Bob you look great sporting all that AZO apparel. When I started prospecting I think your magic number was just over 10,000. It's quite possible that you have found more individual gold nuggets than anyone has ever found throughout earths history. blink.gif You are the Icon for electronical prospecting.

Chris there are very few people right now that can say their business has tripled. Congrats to you. Now if you could just get all the product to fill your orders. Nice talking with you last night.

Bob, over 15,000 nuggets is definitely impressive.

That report should definitely put the gold fever into anyone.

Chris, congratulations on your business success and continued results in the future.

Wow that was very nicely done! The rush is on. Would love to be able to actually get my hands on a Minelab though. LOL.

It was fun doing it. I wouldn't have agreed to do it if it would have been on national TV. I sure don't want any more of a gold rush than there already is. This production was aired on ASUs little TV station , and done by students . Always glad to help a student. They were very professional and we"ll probably see then on the big stations after they graduate. (Lindsey and Mike). For some reason they thought it was hilarious when I dug up a staple and then a piece of wire. I think they expected a big nugget with every beep. I did sneak in a plug for Chris wearing my AZO shirt and hat.----Bob

Nicely done Bob and you are really lookin in shape with the weight loss. I'm glad to hear that bussiness is boomin Chris. I hope to see you both this winter.
Montana
I see several people noticed that I had lost weight. Didn't know it was so obvious. 40 pounds gone and staying off. I have to say that I highly recommend to anyone packing an extra 30 or 40 pounds that it would be a good idea to do the same. It took a while to feel the benefits, but every day I feel better, and walking the hills and climbing over ridges isn't near so tiring. My foot problems have almost gone away also. I feel like I'm back where I was 10 years ago. ----Bob

I watch my video's on a 60" Sony Grand Wega and it took me 21 minutes to calm down my dog once the video started, he thought it was a Jack Russell Terrier bouncing around on the screen, I kept telling him, "it's just an overly bubbly bobble head newscaster Sniper, relax"... rolleyes.gif

If you watch the below video and listen to the reference to Jack Russell Terrier's you'll understand what he thought he saw...think Boing! Boing! Boing!... smile.gif

You looked HOT!!!! with a capital "HISSSSS" (think steam) Bob. I purchased one of Chris's vids that you are shown in and you don't even look like the same person, good job on the weight loss as well..... looked sharp in that fancy AZO patchwork... was neat to see your ATV in the background as well... great video overall (once my epilepsy seizure from Barbie finished)... laugh.gif

Sorry, I'll stop now... Newcasters Barbie and Ken both did a great job, and she could have done a LOT WORSE click here for an example as could he have click here for an example.

Bob..thank you for being such a professional and classy representative for our hobby.

Jennifer. You are a sick woman. How can a 64 year old man look hot? Luke warm maybe . Thanks for the compliment anyway. Losing that weight had a ton of benefits, looking hot wasn't one of the goals. My feet are happier, my back feels better, and I don't have to use my pick to push me back up into a standing position after digging a nugget.-----Bob

Bob, Jennifer is right though (not the Hot bit though mate ohmy.gif ), you are really looking well, so well in fact you should hop a plane and come out to the Kimberley with me next season smile.gif . I got a real hot tip for some new country way out in the sticks that I want to take a peek at but am a little nervous about going on my own.

Age has nothing to do with hotness Bob, I've seen some pretty nasty looking 19 year olds. wink.gif Hotness is about you caring enough about yourself to take the steps to improve your health (and happiness)..... and standing proud when you do, which you sure deserve to do).

Congrats again...... good job.

JP. I was having trouble logging in with the new computer, but it seems to be working now. I'd love to come to the Kimberlies . My favorite area of all the outback. There are so many places I did very well with the old Goldbug that may never have seen a modern PI, but that may be naive thinking.---Bob
Jonathan Porter
Chances are Bob that none of it has ever seen a PI in anger, seriously though I am heading over that way for at least a month next winter, its been a couple of seasons and I need a Kimberley fix. If you wanted to come along we could easily work something out. I think Fred Mason is booked for a tour over there next year as well.

JP

PS do you still smoke? Its a bloody long flight if you do thats for sure!!!
